There's something powerful that happens when light breaks through darkness. It transforms everything it touches, bringing warmth, clarity, and life. In Matthew's Gospel, Jesus tells us, "You're here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world." This beautiful message reminds us not only of our purpose but of who we are at our very core, We Are Sunrise.
When I look at our congregation, I see this light manifested in countless ways: in the warm welcome extended to newcomers, in the care shown to our children, in the compassion offered to those hurting, and in the faithful service that reaches beyond our walls. Each of you brings unique "God-colors" that make our community vibrant and brings healing to our broken world.
As we launch our 2026 pledge campaign, I invite you to prayerfully consider how your financial commitment helps sustain and strengthen this light. Your giving isn't just about maintaining a building or funding programs—it's about ensuring that Sunrise continues to be a place where all can experience God's presence, where discipleship deepens, and where community and connection thrives.
The challenges facing churches today are real, but so is our commitment to shine brightly.
